Hello, I first started shooting when I was in the 7th grade with an old Yashica range finder camera – I loved it. I soon built a make shift darkroom in my bedroom and enjoyed the artistic expression of a B&W photography.
My heart was in Engineering and although I paid my way thru college working in a photo store selling top end camera to pros, I soon left photography behind. Now, some 30 years into my engineering career, I have decided to take up the art once more. I have spent many years working with and designing electro-optical devices. I can tell you how technically each item in your DLSR works, but I can’t necessarily tell you how to use it artistically.
I generally do not use Adobe products, but occasionally, if I’ve made a bad mistake, I will use Adobe Lightroom. The photos I post are pretty much as shot. I try to shooting using the old school mentality; perform the cropping/perspective with the lens and control the exposure with the camera.
Thanks for looking,
Thomas
